Horizon Fitness
We’re taking a new approach to associate selling features with the introduction of the 3C’s. Because the 3C’s represent what a consumer needs to know and would like to know about a particular product when shopping. As you flip through this book, you’ll notice all key points are grouped by Comfort, Control and Convenience. You can also introduce the selling feature of Horizon products through the way of 3C’s.
Horizon ellipticals are designed with your customers’ bodies in mind: they
keep users upright and properly aligned during a workout. This reduces
stress on the back and shoulders.
STRIDE LENGTH:Stride length of the elliptical trainer:
This is the length of the customer’s stride. For people
of a general build, 16-18 inches is optimal. For people
over 190cm, the trainer with longer stride is recommended.
Q - Factor:This is the parallel length of the customer’s
two feet. Generally, the smaller the Q-factor is, the more
comfortable the customer will feel. Above all, female
customers or shorter customers should choose a trainer
with a smaller Q-factor.
PEDAL PIVOTING:The pedals on all Horizon ellipticals
pivot through their range of motion. This helps eliminate
the “foot falling asleep” sensation felt on other models.

The Extra Small Q-Factor means that the gap between
the stepping boards is less than 100 mm for increased
comfort. Ergonomics of Stepping Board Interval.
When people walk, the distance between their feet is usually wider at about 120~150 mm on average. When running however, the feet are closer together – around 80~100 mm. The elliptical trainer is based on the running motion so the user's stance is quite similar to the stance they use for running. A stepping board interval of under 100 mm is therefore better ergonomically.
Tip:
Rear-drive elliptical trainers (crankshaft is behind the user) tend to have stepping boards that are further apart
because of their design limitation. Front-drive elliptical trainers (crankshaft is in front of the user) allow the
Q-Factor to be closer together. The majority of elliptical trainers offered by Horizon are of the front-drive type.

With A.P.S. (Adjustable Pivoting System), the pivoting foot plates will accurately match the natural angle of how your feet are placed and will fully support your feet while moving through elliptical motions.

This is an adjustable apparatus, which provides five-step adjustment back and forth. The customer may change the length between the footrest and armrest according to their type of build to keep their body remaining vertical with the ground when exercising, so as to decrease the pressure on the back and shoulder.
